We traveled up the A9 through the Cairngorms and arrived at Inverness Mosque just in time for the Jumuah prayer and then met the imam and some local Muslims. Later that day, we traveled north across the Moray Firth to Rosemarkie where we walked along Fairy Glen up to the waterfall. We then visited Cromarty, a well-preserved town with lots of species of jellyfish, but slightly spoiled by the views of oil platforms. On our return to Inverness, we visited one of the imams in hospital. Between the Maghrib and Isha prayers, we chatted to two new Muslim brothers and we all reminded each other about what faith is and the articles of faith. After the Isha prayer, we chatted to one of the founders of the masjid until the Fajr prayer.

We traveled through Aviemore to Coylumbridge and then Whitewalls from where we set out to Lairigh Ghru, a spectacular walk between Coylumbridge and Braemar. However, due to some footwear problems and failing to bring our chicken burgers, we turned back after three hours before the most impressive scenery begins, although we could see it from afar. We discussed how we could return another day. Between the Maghrib and Isha prayers, we reminded ourselves about how to pray, and then we chatted to a brother who had come down from Alness, half an hour north of Inverness. We fed him some burgers before he left after the Fajr prayer.

We strolled past the nearby Inverness Castle (pictured) on the banks of the river Ness and through the town center talking to randomly selected people about what brought us to the town. We visited the new Inverness Masjid which is being prepared for partial use in Ramadhan. On the way back to Glasgow, we took the A82 route and picnicked at Loch Ness, where we became the lunch for the renowned Highland midges. We continued down the A82 past magnificent views on Loch Lochy, the Nevis Range, Glen Nevis, Glen Nevis Falls, Loch Linnhe, Loch Leven and Glencoe. When we reached Glasgow, we prayed the Asr prayer in congregation and then went our separate ways.
